As a food reviewer in Restaurant World, I had the pleasure of trying out some of the dishes at Deluxe Green Bo. From the appetizers like the Steamed Pork and Crab Mixed Buns to the Seafood Noodle Soup and Crispy Eel under the seafood section, this place truly has something for everyone.
One of the highlights of my dining experience was the mouthwatering pork noodles, which came with a choice of noodle thickness and a deliciously light and flavorful broth. The beef dishes, including the Aromatic Beef and Dong Po Pork, were also exceptional and showcased the restaurant's expertise in Chinese cuisine.
Customer reviews raved about the XLB and the variety of cold dishes available, with standout mentions of the beef tendon and eggplant with garlic sauce. The staff at Deluxe Green Bo were praised for their excellent service, adding to the overall positive dining experience.
Overall, Deluxe Green Bo stands out in Chinatown for its authentic Chinese cuisine, especially the high-quality ingredients used in their dishes. Whether you're a fan of traditional soup dumplings or looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant is a must-try for any food enthusiast in the city.

In the heart of Chinatown, this restaurant must have over 100 items on their menu! We tried the XLB and pork noodles. The XLB had a thin skin with a nice seasoned filling and plenty of soup inside, the sign of a good dumpling. The pork noodles came with different noodle options. We opted for the thicker noodles. The noodles were obviously freshly made and the broth was light and flavorful. Service was excellent!

One of the best Chinatown restaurants at this price point (i.e. the lowest and most affordable - interior is very cramped and the A/C doesn't work great, so it's a true Chinese xiaochi experience). Deluxe Green Bo specializes in Shanghainese, but like most Chinatown joints, they'll have Cantonese dishes and dishes from other regions like spicy eggplant and dry-fried green beans (both very solid). The XLB here are also halfway decent, but would recommend Shanghai 21 or Joe's for XLB generally. Pan-fried buns (shengjianbao) are also passable but still the case that there are no truly good ones yet in NYC west of Flushing. The standout dish was the dong po pork, which is not altogether common on restaurant menus, especially at a divier no-frills spot with a large expansive menu like this. It tasted super fresh and was I think $17-18 for a fairly large portion. I'd come back just for this dish alone.

**CASH OR VENMO ONLY** Deluxe Green Bo is one of those places that I've walked by a million times. Finally tried it on a recent Sunday over a holiday weekend. There was no wait for two people at around 5:45 PM. I tried the scallion pancake, pork soup dumplings, eggplant with garlic sauce and beef with broccoli. The beef was amazing - my favorite thing that we ate. Eggplant was also excellent. The only miss was the dumplings; would skip those next time. Service was really good, too! They serve hot tea, and ice water is available upon request.

Delux Green Bo in Chinatown NYC is a gem for anyone seeking authentic Chinese cuisine. The restaurant exudes a traditional charm that is both inviting and unpretentious. Our meal began with the signature pork and shrimp dumplings, which were a revelation. The dumplings were perfectly steamed, with a delicate wrapper and a flavorful, juicy filling that melted in your mouth. Next, we tried the fried rice, which was expertly prepared with a delightful balance of textures and flavors. The grains were perfectly cooked, not too greasy, and complemented by a generous mix of vegetables and proteins. The steamed spinach was a refreshing accompaniment, offering a light, healthy counterpoint to the other dishes. Delux Green Bo is a must-try for anyone seeking genuine Chinese dumplings and traditional fare in New York City. The combination of high-quality ingredients, skilled preparation, and a warm, authentic atmosphere makes this restaurant stand out in the bustling Chinatown scene. Whether you're a longtime lover of Chinese cuisine or new to the delights of soup dumplings, Delux Green Bo will not disappoint.
